H2O (Second Orchestra)

Have you always wanted to play in an orchestra but never had an opportunity?

Maybe you feel guilty that your instrument is gathering dust in the loft?

Or perhaps you've recently started to play and want to join a group with other musicians?

Horsham Symphony Orchestra have started a new all-comers orchestra - to be known as H2O - giving local people an opportunity to play with like-minded musicians in a fun and friendly atmosphere.  H2O is open to all ages and abilities but our preferred minimum standard is equivalent to about Grade 5.  However, the most important attribute is enthusiasm!

All orchestral instruments are very welcome. We'll be playing all sorts of music from symphony movements to film scores and show tunes and the emphasis is most definitely on fun and enjoyment.

There will be weekly rehearsals on Tuesday evenings (7.30pm to 9.30pm).  Rehearsals are in the Main Hall at Millais School.  Sessions will be run mainly by James Torry and Steve Dummer with occasional coaching and assistance from HSO players.  To cover costs the fee per term will be £25.

If you are interested then please join the H2O Google group. Also if you have questions then please feel free to contact the organisers by emailing committee@horshamsymphony.org.uk.

Spring Term 2017
Rehearsals will run from 17th January to 21st March, all in the Dining Hall.

PS Please bring a music stand and a mug (for tea/coffee at half time!)
