The HSO is a non-profit organisation (a registered charity). Quoting from our constitution:

The objects of the society shall be to promote, improve, develop and maintain education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects by the rehearsal and performance of public concerts and by such other ways as the Society through its committee shall determine from time to time.

Financially the orchestra depends upon ticket sales, "subs" from players, Friends of the orchestra, generous donations, and sponsorship for special projects.

We regularly fill The Capitol (360 people) 3 times a year. If you are a company which wishes to advertise in our Concert Programmes then please contact the Sponsorship Manager.
