We invite those who support our aims and share our enthusiasm for the performance of classical music in Horsham to become Friends of the Horsham Symphony Orchestra.
Friend of HSO FAQs
Why does the HSO need Friends?
The HSO is celebrating 50 years of music-making in Horsham. Our members are locally-based musicians who play for pleasure.
To achieve high standards in our performances and in our choice of soloists we are professionally directed and led.
Unfortunately, our costs cannot be funded entirely from box office receipts alone. Most of our revenue comes from membership subs, however, even this is still insufficient to balance the books.
Our aim in seeking Friends is to give people who support and share our aims the opportunity to assist us financially on an individual basis.
What are the benefits of being a Friend of HSO?
Join our Friend scheme and we will provide you with a free seat of your choice at two concerts within twelve months of your joining.
We guarantee you can purchase a seat at the third concert within the same twelve-month period.
You will get first choice of seating at all our concerts before we open ticket sales to the public.
If you are unable to come to a particular concert you can give your ticket to someone else.
We will include your name (if you would like), in our printed programmes as a 'Friend of the Orchestra' to acknowledge your support.
How much does becoming a Friend of HSO cost?
We ask for an annual contribution of £48
