vacancy for 2025/26 season

Horsham Symphony Orchestra is keen to support young local musicians with a passion for conducting but limited previous experience. The role of Student Conductor gives the opportunity to work with the full orchestra in 2-3 rehearsals per term over a concert season, with coaching and guidance from Steve Dummer. The successful candidate would also spend some time with our sister orchestra H2O to gain experience of working with an all-comers ensemble. Where possible, the studentship would culminate in a performance in front of an audience.

The role has been filled for the 2024-25 season, so we would be interested to hear from you if you would like to apply for the 2025-26 season.
